Refund Policy

Last updated: 18 September 2026

This policy explains your rights under Australian Consumer Law (ACL) when you pay for a casual class or a 10-Class Package with Perth Bhangra Academy ("PBA"), and how PBA handles cancellations, class credits and refunds.

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Our classes come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a remedy if we fail to deliver a class with due care and skill, or if a class is not fit for the purpose it was booked for. Depending on the nature of the problem, you may be entitled to a replacement class, a credit, or a refund. Nothing in this policy limits or excludes these statutory rights.

Change of Mind

Beyond your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, PBA does not provide cash refunds for a simple change of mind once a casual class or 10-Class Package has been paid for. Please consider your preferred location, class type and payment option carefully before enrolling.

10-Class Package: Missed Classes

A 10-Class Package includes up to 2 complimentary class adjustments for genuine emergency or holiday circumstances. A class adjustment allows a student to make up a missed class at another suitable class time, subject to availability. Class adjustments are not exchanged for a cash refund and do not carry over between packages.

If PBA Cancels a Class

If PBA cancels a scheduled class (for example, due to public holidays, instructor illness or venue unavailability), we will offer an alternative make-up class or a credit toward a future class of equivalent value. This is in addition to, and does not replace, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Package Validity

A 10-Class Package is intended to be used within the term or period advised to you at the time of enrolment. If you are unsure how much validity remains on your package, contact us and we will confirm this for you.

How to Request a Remedy

To request a class adjustment, credit or a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law, contact us with your name, the class location and date, and a short description of the issue:

perthbhangraacademy@gmail.com or +61 481 815 581.

We will respond to all requests within a reasonable timeframe and aim to resolve them fairly.
